Take a Peak Inside

World Class Fishing

Located on the salmon migration highways, the west side of Prince of Wales Island offers unparalleled fishing opportunities. Saltwater anglers can target king salmon during their peak migration in June and July, reel in acrobatic coho through the fall, or head to deeper waters for halibut. Year-round rockfish and seasonal lingcod add to the variety.

Freshwater fishing is just as rewarding, with nearby rivers and creeks offering steelhead in spring, vibrant coho runs in the fall, and trout throughout the season. Whether you prefer trolling, fly fishing, or spin casting, Prince of Wales delivers a fishing experience as diverse as its Alaskan landscapes.
